Yesterday was our first day in Kochi. It was the first day we were together as a group and I believe we will get along famously. We’re staying at the Fragrant Nature Resort and Spa, where they make a mean masala dosa. (I’ve been waiting for one since we arrived in India
Then it was time to shop for clothes – and we did. Dinner was a sumptuous rooftop buffet at our hotel. Seranaded by local musicians, we ate and talked until bedtime.
We also had our first mishap. Our friend Laura twisted her ankle. Our guide Sajida took her and her husband Jeremy to the hospital. Hours later, after an x-ray and consultation, we got the word that it had was a minor sprain, a positive medical experience, and, most importantly, not a serious injury.
